Terms and Conditions of Sale
Last updated: 15 August 2026
These terms apply when you buy from customcraftaustralia.com. Please read them before ordering. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation. If we cannot fulfil an order — for example a timber is unavailable, or a requested size is not structurally sound — we will contact you and offer an alternative or a full refund.
2. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Australian dollars and are the prices in effect when you order. Payment is taken at the time of order. We may correct obvious pricing errors before despatch; if a correction affects your order we will contact you first and you may cancel for a full refund.
3. Made-to-order items
Most of what we sell is made specifically for you: custom dimensions, chosen timber, chosen edge profile, and any engraving you specify. Production begins after your order is confirmed. Because these items cannot be resold, they are treated as custom goods for the purposes of returns — see Shipping & Returns.
Please check your specification carefully before ordering, and in particular check the spelling of any engraving. We engrave exactly what you supply.
4. Changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. We can usually accommodate changes before cutting starts. Once a custom piece has been cut or engraved we cannot cancel it, because the timber has been committed to your specification.
5. Engraving content
You are responsible for the content you ask us to engrave, and you confirm you have the right to use it. We may decline to engrave content that infringes someone else's rights or that is unlawful or offensive.
6. Delivery
We deliver within Australia. Delivery timeframes, costs and risk are covered in Shipping & Returns, which forms part of these terms.
7. Natural timber variation
Timber varies in grain, figure and colour, including between pieces of the same species, and colour changes over time with exposure to light. Product photographs are representative. Natural variation, and normal movement of timber with humidity, are characteristics of the material rather than faults.
8. Care
Boards are supplied with care instructions. They are not dishwasher safe and should not be left to soak or dried near direct heat. Damage caused by use contrary to the care instructions is not a manufacturing fault.
9. Our guarantee, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
In addition to those rights, we stand behind our workmanship. If a piece we made fails because of how we made it — a joint that opens, a finish that fails in normal use — tell us and we will put it right.
10. Liability
Other than the rights described above and any other rights you have that cannot lawfully be excluded, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
